eBay is inviting a small percentage of users - less than 1 percent - to opt in to a new beta version of My eBay. The randomly selected group will receive an email invitation in their My Messages and is completely optional. eBay said other new features include an item preview with details and larger pictures; ability to re-bid without leaving My eBay; a snapshot of critical seller information, including Detailed Seller Ratings and links to a seller's eBay Store or other items; and a place for personal notes for all items. In early September, eBay will invite additional eBay members to opt-in to see the new My eBay beta, and will add additional features to the beta version of My eBay at the end of October. eBay will wait until early 2008 to migrate buyers and sellers to the new My eBay (eBay users dislike changes to the site during the important holiday shopping season). |
