eBay continues to test changes to its eBay Motors site and is moving into phase two testing. Earlier this year, it began exposing a number of randomly selected visitors to a new homepage design with new search and integrated research. Based on the feedback it received, eBay ditched plans to fully launch the site in the Spring and decided to conduct another round of testing.

The new eBay Motors site integrates sales data from eBay Motors and used-car values from Kelley Blue Book, and includes stock photos and in-depth specifications. If users are signed in, they will see a section displaying a snapshot view of the eBay items they are watching. If they are not signed in, a Recent Activities area keeps track of recently viewed listings and recent searches.

Those users who were part of the first test now see the original version, and eBay will expose a new group of randomly selected buyers to the new eBay Motors site that includes all the changes made during the first phase. In phase two, eBay will test three "slightly different" versions of the site.

eBay said it is testing improvements to the buying experience and said nothing is changing for sellers.
