eBay PowerSeller Inflatable Madness LLC announced it has hired David Perkovich, former Blockbuster VP of Online Subscription Services, to serve as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Perkovich is the founder of DVDRentalCentral.com, which was acquired by Blockbuster in 2002 and became Blockbuster.com. He is the founder and former CEO of Training Associates and has authored over 20 books on Microsoft software. Inflatable Madness also announced it is opening an 8,000 square-foot disc-refurbishing center on October 1st to accommodate the rapidly increasing volume of product from national retailers.
"Utilizing our high volume multi-channel sales approach and our new disc refurbishing center, we are in an excellent position now to assist large companies with maximizing the value of their customer returns, trade-ins, shelf pulls, rentals, and overstock movies, CDs and video games," said CEO Kevin Harmon.
Inflatable Madness focuses on selling media products - DVDs, CDs, books, and video games, and small electronics. Revenues in 2006 were approximately $3.5 million.
