The Antiquarian Book Fair is going on this weekend in Boston. Nicholas Basbanes will be signing copies of his new book "Patience and Fortitude" on Saturday and Sunday. The sale of these books will benefit the Benevolent Fund for the ABAA. A limited number of first editions of his book "A Gentle Madness" will also be available for sale. The 25th annual Boston International Antiquarian Book Fair is the oldest, continually-running antiquarian book fair in the United States. One of our favorite people is exhibiting - Edith Reynolds, co-owner of The John Bale Book Company of Waterbury, Connecticut. Edith, contributing writer to AuctionBytes, says this is a must-attend show for book-lovers. The show takes place at the Hynes Convention Center. More than 155 dealers from the U. S., Canada and Europe will exhibit and sell rare, collectible and antiquarian books, modern first editions, manuscripts, autographs, maps and more. http://www.bostonbookfair.com |
