The FTC told the Senate Finance Committee that "the growth of the Internet promises enormous benefits to consumers and the economy, but that "there is a real danger. . .that these benefits may not be fully realized if consumers identify the Internet with fraud operators." Meanwhile, CNET reported that auction fraud figures are down: http://news.cnet.com/news/0-1007-200-5631683.html
