PayPal Launches Directory of Member Sites
By Ina Steiner
PayPal has launched PayPal Shops, a directory of over 5,000 Web sites that accept PayPal. This is a directory only - merchants listed in the directory accept PayPal as a form of payment, and they operate independently of PayPal. To join, you must be a verified U.S. PayPal member. You simply give PayPal the URL, title, category, and a short description for your Web site. PayPal will list your site in PayPal Shops, and every time a customer sends you a payment for purchases made somewhere other than your Web site, such as an online auction site, PayPal will invite them to shop at your Web site. The service is currently free for members, though fees may be introduced in the future. Log on to the PayPal site for more information. http://www.paypal.com
