eBay is conducting a survey to find out from sellers what topics they'd like to see covered on its eBay for Business blog and Facebook page. Here are two questions that make up the meat of the survey:

What type of content do you find most helpful to you in running your eBay business? Select all that apply.
How-to guides specific to selling on eBay
Tips on taking advantage of seasonal events or seller promotions
Articles about how to use current and new eBay features
Inspirational stories about eBay sellers stories and their paths to success
General business advice from entrepreneurs
Statistics and insight on how ecommerce is changing and growing

What topics do you want to read more about? Select all that apply.
eBay tools (Seller Hub, Promoted Listings, Promotions Manager)
Shipping
Inventory management
Time management
Organizational tools
Photography
Social media
Creating optimized listings
Handling returns
Planning for the holiday season
The future of ecommerce
Marketing your business
Contests, promotions, or giveaways on eBay for Business

eBay for Business also announced some milestones: it now has over 10,000 Twitter followers and 25,000 Facebook fans. To entice sellers to take the survey and follow it on social channels, it's giving away an "eBay backpack chock full of cool swag." You can find the announcement and link to the survey on this page.

From perusing the lists of topics, do you think eBay nailed it in terms of the type of content you'd like to see? Which channels do you turn to in order to get answers to your eBay-related questions?

What would be most helpful for me in running my business;
1 - Stay out of my business
2 - See Above
3 - Reread #1

Hey Fleecebay, If you can't do #1 then you can take your survey and stick it where the sun never shines.

Considering  ''the help'' eBay has given small sellers from ... let's say from 2007 (Donohoe' s ''Slice and Dice Small Sellers  to Wenig's lies of supporting small sellers, treating ius to his version of ''The Hunting Game'') to now, 2017 ...you have to be kidding us, right?!

When their head of Global Customer Service admits eBay CS is a disgrace and has been for at least 12 years and absolutely nothing has been done - while the Board, CEO's and Executive Suite take home Multi Million $ salaries & compensation bonuses - says it all.

Has Wenig and Lawton run out of ideas for their Business Blog ... that they need to solicit ''free'' (yup, everything to these execs i has got to be ''free'' (free shipping, free returns, free guaranteed PM 2/3 Day delivery from USPS - who clearly displays signs in all their local post offices i the US, they do not guarantee delivery on PM or on any mail they handle)   suggestions from us?

Ina, if they need ideas for this blog - tell them to ask the Chinese, their favored Best Match sellers or better yet ... they should just copy whatever Amazon is blogging about for i ideas.

I hope no one here gives them any suggestions.

How about explaining why eBay ended support for the URL's of countless bookmarked search results that buyers have used for years to search eBay? I know it has greatly reduced my buying on eBay since I can no longer run these bookmarked searches. Sellers complain that they aren't getting enough page views. Correct. I can't find their items when the eBay servers no longer recognize the very URL's that eBay created!

A truly meaningless, useless blog,  complete with a ( fake survey ) just to make you think they care about your input,  it will go into the trash, like all the others,

Sorry ebay, you're full of it,  adding just another  useless feature, instead of addressing the Real Problems will not change anything,

Sellers don't need your blog.

What a supremely dumb company, that is why they are failing, more employees than they need, and they will not read their own forums to see what sellers are saying and think of them, they ban the best sellers who tell them the truth then the morons want to know what sellers think of them.

This is just a feeble whitewashed attempt to look like they actually care what we think. The truth is they continually ignore countless screaming issues & have no intention of making eBay a "level playing field"....old forgotten Donahoe mantra.

Their list of topics should read.....

Do you want us to fix the shopping carts!
Do you want us to remove immediate Payment!
Do you want us to sanction non payers 3, strikes OUT!
Do you want us to uphold rules on duplicate sellers with multiple CHINESE accounts.
Do you want us to be nice to your sellers like we ask you to.
Do you want us to pay for dodgy returns instead of you?
Do you want us to let you & support agents know when we change something?
Do you want us to pay a working wage for inland support agents instead of paying peanuts to undertrained clueless Philipinos?
Do you want us to continue morphing into Amazon?

~8) How to avoid being (constantly) flogged and raped by your "selling master"
Answer: keep selling elsewhere, don't sell a commodity,  + lower your prices to and drive traffic to your web store. Keep the same titles on your web store and discount over your Ebay store. You have to do it for years........but eventually Google search will reward you.

What topics do I want to read more about? How eBay plans to protect sellers from liar buyers. What action eBay plans to take against buyers who have a history of scamming sellers. What plans eBay has to permanently halt the multiple listings from the same sellers using the same photos and same descriptions that take up pages and pages of search results. When we can expect eBay to up-grade their infrastructure to put an end to rolling blackouts and so that all listings can be seen all the time.

I have only ONE complaint when it comes to eBay!

Fees on shipping!

As far as sales go eBay does a good job at finding me buyers for my American made tools. . .

Well - based on the above comments I truly can't understand why ebay even has discussion boards anymore. If everything stated is true - why bother going there at all? For me and a friend we have been considering an ebay seller group here in my town not to do ebay bashing but to help and support each other in navigating ebay on a regular basis. I've often gone to one or another of these boards only to be bashed over the head by nasty sellers who belittle me - ridicule me - tell me to quit selling and basically are no help at all. Yes there are some kinder folks on there but alot of them don't know much more than me.  I currently attend a kind of meeting like this - not ebay related - and I have found alot of really nice helpful folks that have helped me - Amazon doesn't have discussion boards right?

Here no is all you need to know about eBay's plan for stopping scammers: the buyer in the infamous case of the700lb AC unit shipped via freight, but, a 10lb piece of metal returned in a priority mail box is still buying today, just got a new feedback on Monday.

Think about that, ebay refunded the seller, only after his account manager stepped in, out of their own pocket, and had definitive proof the the buyer had committed fraud, yet he is still buying today.  Ebay just doesn't care.

eBay is not interested in helping ANYONE but themselves.

They truly consider sellers who complain in any way shape or form a nuisance or worse - the "cause" of all their problems.

I just got off a 3 day ban from eBays boards - with Heidi telling me that eBay will not tolerate NEGATIVE comments about eBay employees or negative discussions of the corporation itself if its "mean spirited". I asked if it was eBay or N Korea and got no reply.

eBay wants to do business - but doesnt know how to adapt to the 21rst century. Repression and weird women with funny hats (see ANY eBay OPEN video) are apparently what passes for eCommerce.

There is business to be had on eBay, the question is "will the king direct his minions to allow you to get any of the traffic!"

I guess Im on the "naughty list" these days ....!

Not coincidental that they omit every actual small business friendly topic.

It's much easier for ebafia to blame sellers for failures than to look in the mirror and see that ebafia itself is directly responsible for most of the problems we face.

The snowflakes are oblivious when it comes to the nitty gritty issues of their own failures and gross incompetence. That's when small sellers become their scapegoated whipping boys.

WAIT A MINUTE !
"What type of content do you find most helpful to you in running your eBay business? "
If you read their question again and again, you'll see : IT MAKES NO SENSE.
The Acid must be STELLAR at Ebay.

AND AND AND :
Ebay MUST apologize to us for allowing ISIS (check news reports) to make fake sales to gather cash, through PayPal, for their Terrorist Network !
KILL PayPal ! They are the leading global conduit for terrorist finance.
