Sellers, beware - there is a company that is giving free and paid seminars around the country promising to teach people how to sell on Amazon. They want participants to purchase inventory from them, promising those products will sell well on Amazon.
For $30,000, you can buy into their system and receive coaching, but we found a Ripoff Report on this company.
Before you consider work from home / coaching schemes, read this FTC press release
"At the Federal Trade Commission's request, a federal court entered a temporary restraining order halting a deceptive work-from-home scheme that conned millions of dollars from consumers by falsely telling them they could easily earn thousands of dollars a month by purchasing bogus business coaching services and establishing their own Internet businesses. According to the FTC, consumers who bought into the scheme lost thousands - sometimes tens of thousands - of dollars each, most of it through racking up huge credit card charges at the defendants' urging."
In the case of this latest company, it's using Facebook ads to promote its seminars, and many people are sharing the post, giving it an air of legitimacy.
When you go looking for opportunities, don't be fooled by professional videos and slick sales pitches. Do your homework.
What would you advise someone thinking about investing $30,000 for a system to set up an Amazon business?
