PayPal is running a new ad campaign called "PayPal Can Do That," according to some media trade publications. One such ad promotes PayPal's purchase protection.
Letting customers know they are protected is important - boosting confidence can improve sales, especially for shoppers who are buying something online sight unseen from an unknown seller.
But marketplace sellers can be sensitive to the message certain such marketing sends to buyers given the abuse that sellers must deal with from "bad buyers."
