FedEx Acquires Firm to Add to Expertise in Challenging Shipments

FedEx logoFedEx said it is expanding its capabilities with the acquisition of Northwest Research, a logistics firm that has expertise in dealing with challenging shipments. It will complement FedEx as it services the ecommerce industry.

FedEx Corporation announced that it has acquired Northwest Research, Inc., a leader in inventory research and management. Northwest Research’s proprietary technologies and capabilities complement and expand the FedEx portfolio of offerings important to the rapidly growing global e-commerce marketplace.
